Phil was my friend. I was operating at the scene of the fire with Fort Lee Ladder 3, we were called on Mutual Aid to Cliffside Park. I helped form the Honor Line and removed cover as ordered when Phil was carried to the Ambulance. He was gone and so was his partner. Phil was a professional firefighter and his partner was a volunteer member. Phil came often to my firehouse in Fort Lee to watch GIANT Football games.
