Raymond Nakovics‚ 49‚ a 27-year Fire Department of New York veteran‚ died of a heart attack while fighting an apartment building fire on April 29‚ 1998. A week before his own death‚ he had given away his dress uniform so an auxiliary firefighter could be buried in it.
