Rey will be greatly missed by his family‚ friends and fellow fire fighters. He was a person full of life who loved to laugh and joke around. A sports fanatic‚ he loved his Philadelphia Eagles and Seventy Sixers.

Rey joined the Air Force out of high school and served honorably for four years. His passion was to become a fire fighter and that dream came true for him in 1992 when he proudly graduated from the Philadelphia Fire Academy. For the next twelve years he served the city of Philadelphia well.

Although his life was cut short‚ Rey lived a full life. He left behind a beautiful daughter‚ Amelia‚ a grandson‚ his mother and father (now deceased)‚ brothers‚ sisters‚ and a large contingent of family members both here and in his native Cuba. In addition‚ he left behind his many friends and fellow fire fighters. We miss you Rey (dad‚ brother and son)…you will be forever in our hearts.
