Born June 7,1958 in Astoria, Queens New York, Bobby was the second of three children born to Sylvia and Thomas Fitzgibbon.
There were several chapters to his life, which included being a carpenter in the Carpenters Union, an FDNY member for 20 years, and a family man. Bobby worked at Engine 97 in the Bronx and Engine 47 in Manhattan, where he built a lifelong brotherhood.
Bobby had a passion for cooking, and for this everyone at the firehouse was thankful. Over his time at both firehouses, he showed his carpentry skills and built several areas that enhanced these firehouses. He was very proud of building his family home and working on his property to make it heavenly.
Bobby was an avid sports fan, including the New York Giants and the Mets. He lived a healthy lifestyle of exercise, and he loved the beach, especially Montauk, New York, and Venice Beach, Florida.
Bobby is survived by two married daughters, Jillian and Loren. Recently, he would have been thrilled becoming a “grandpa” to Logan and Tessa.
He loved life and is missed by many.
