Robin Lee Pilcher

Captain Robin Lee Pilcher was a graduate of Bingham High School in Utah and served a full-time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Alaska British Columbia Mission. After his return, he married his sweetheart, Wendy Lou Davis, and was happily married to her for nearly 40 years.

Robin’s love of service led him to a 35-year career as a professional firefighter for Salt Lake County, which later became Unified Fire Authority. He served as a paramedic, captain, and deputy fire marshal. He was also a member of Utah Task Force One, where he was deployed to Ground Zero and Hurricane Katrina.

His love of service did not end with his fire career. He served several full-time missions for his church, which included Heber Valley Girls Camp as well as an MLS Salt Lake South Missionary. For this, and many other reasons, he became our favorite hero!

Robin was a loving husband and father to four children. His final advice to his family and friends was, “Stay in the boat.” He was a loyal friend and loved being around people. “Work hard, play hard,” was how he lived his life. He loved camping, boating, and had a particular love for his red Harley-Davidson.

He will be remembered for his humor, his love of the outdoors, his work ethic, and for being the best grandpa in the world.
