Rodney L. Chambers was 51 years old. He was a Volunteer Fireman for 27 years‚ where he was ranked as Captain. He suffered a massive heart attack when he returned from extinguishing a car fire on Memorial Day‚ May 27‚ 2002. He worked at Comcast Cable for 21 years. He loved to collect model cars and ride motorcycles. He was in two motorcycle clubs in Tupelo. He received an award for heroic efforts in 1988.
He is survived by his wife‚ Beverly; a son‚ Billy Chambers; and a daughter‚ Brandy Johnson.
He was the type of person who was well loved by everyone. He was a devoted Christian and a significant attribute to his neighborhood.
