Roger Bryant McEwen‚ Sr.‚ 52‚ a member of the Hanover Volunteer Fire Department since its inception‚ died of a massive heart attack on July 4‚ 1999‚ while fighting a trailer fire. A local rancher‚ McEwen was 1999 Cattleman of the Year in Coosce County. He also served as a captain and mechanics officer with the Hanover department.
