Sean was a member of the Vails Gate Fire Department for almost 3-years. Sean died while attempting to rescue several trapped firefighters and a patron of the restaurant. All of the trapped firefighters were rescued‚ but Sean and the restaurant patron succumbed to their injuries. Sean is survived by his mother‚ sister‚ and three brothers.

I was with this young man on his first alarm as a senior firefighter. He came up as a youth volunteer. When he turned 18 he became a regular fire fighter. His first fire was with operator Lynn McDonald on Engine 483 and my self it was a one room kitchen fire at Windsor gardens. I gave him the nozzle and told him let’s hit it.
On the night of his death at this place called 2’c He went in to check for trapped patrons but got lost behind a door that swung backwards. Firefighter Davey Berg was first in then myself. I heard Davey say got him we found him trying to get out a door that swung backwards. Miss him so very much because I had much to do with his learning. Rest on Friend.
