Steve was a volunteer member of the Oceanside Fire Department for 4 years at the time of his death. He succumbed to injuries 8 days after falling off a ladder during a training session. He served on many committees and his goal was to be an officer.

He worked in the Mason’s Union at the time of his death. He was engaged to be married 11 months later. He had many brothers‚ sisters and nieces.

He was a fearless person who had a zest for firefighting. He was also well liked by his brother firefighters and missed more than words can say.
