Tommy was a loving husband and father of two beautiful children‚ Nicole and James. He loved to golf‚ ski and snowboard. He could build anything just from looking at a picture.
He enjoyed everything about being a firefighter: the wonderful friends he made there and the people he would meet on the job.
He is missed every minute of my day.

Firefighter, Thomas E. Sabella, was from what I’ve heard and been told from his younger cousin my boyfriend’s family, he was an extraordinary man and hero especially the day of the 9/11/01 attacks, therefore by performing his line of American duty he’s touched so many lives counting my boyfriends life. From what he’s told me he’s proud to be his cousin and I think that as a Sabella and carrying his cousins memory he’s proudly dedicated himself to carry on with his life making his dreams a reality by by becoming one with our New York states’ law and order society while protecting the lives of his own, his family, friends, moose lodge peers, community and myself with never-ending pride and dignity.

Today I had the honor of remembering Thomas E. Sabella as we (City of High Point Fire Department) gathered at the High Point Rocker’s Stadium to climb, reflect and remember all who were lost on September 11th. Never Forget.
– Kristi WallaceI did my first NFFF stairclimb event in remembrance of Mr. Sabella in Nashville, TN this year. I read about him after the event and saw we had many similarities. I’m fairly new to the fire service but I love the pride we have in our career and it’s because of the great men that came before us. The event brought about some somber memories of being in school and watching the news that day. Putting a face to one of the 343 firefighters that died on 9/11 really hit home. I’ll never forget those that lost it all that day. I’ll strive to be half the man Mr. Sabella and those on shift that day were.
