Upon arriving at my workplace, Pierce Manufacturing, today I was greeted with a table that held the names of all the fallen firefighters on badges that lost their life on September 11, 2001. I selected Captain Hynes as the hero I would work for today. So today Captain Hynes I will work for you in your honor. And to your family and friends may god bless you all with peace and prosperity.

– Jeff SeidnerToday I climbed for Walter at FDIC 2017 in Indianapolis, he is the 4th person I have climbed for from Ladder 13. Last year I chose Dennis McHugh to climb for, I chose him because 13 is my lucky number, a few months later I was given a firefighter to climb for and I am as given Thomas Sabella, I then chose to climb for Gregory Stajk. After this I went to visit the fire house they worked and lived out off. It was an honor and at this time I was able to find out all the people from the station that died. I made it my goal to climb for all the Ladder 13 guys. It’s an honor to have been able to chose Walter for my first FDIC stair climb and my first time climbing as a full firefighter. On Saturday, September 16, 2017 I had the distinguished honor of participating in the 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb held at Lambeau Field, Green Bay, WI. It was an honor to complete the climb that Captain Hynes was not able to finish on that dreadful day. I am a volunteer firefighter for the Evansville Fire Department in Evansville, WI. Words can not express the emotion of my memorial climb and I can’t even image the heartbreak that took place in NY on that day.
