Walter Voight

Firefighter Walter Voight, age 53, of the Fire Department City of New York – Ladder 144, died on February 2, 2004, from illness related to response to the 9/11 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center.

He was the beloved husband of Elaine, cherished brother of Deborah Cavolo and Susan Weber (Richard), dear nephew of Alice Smith, fond uncle of many nieces and nephews, and loving son-in-law of Janet and Bill Pugh. He was also survived by many loving brothers and sisters-in-law.

Mr. Voight was a proud New York City firefighter for 25 years, serving at Ladder 144, Engine 55, and Ladder 37. He also served for two years in the U.S. Marines.
