Wesley Vandever died after suffering a medical emergency at the scene of a residential structure fire.

Born in Osage, Oklahoma, in 1935, he served as pastor of Church of God of Prophecy in Sugar Hill, Texas, from 1972-2021.

He was survived by his daughter, Pamela Posey (Terry); his son, Brad Vandever (Wanda); his grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 61 years, Oleta Vandever; his parents, Alvin and Arlie Vandever; and 10 siblings.
