  1. In our family there were 5 siblings, Willie and I being the youngest. We shared so much as we were growing up and continued our brother/sister friendship into adulthood. He was my rock, my strength, and the one I could turn to when I needed a friend. When Willie died on June 8, 2004 after the fireman’s walk test, there was no time for goodbye, no more time for childhood memory talks, no more calls from him saying, ‘yeah it’s just me’. There was no more time! Willie was a good man, hard working, loved his family and gave 100% of himself. Willie loved being a fireman and was friends with those he worked the fireline with. Yes, my brother is missed by many and in our family the missing link can never be replaced. As we carry on with our lives, we keep our own precious memories of our brother in our hearts, knowing someday we will see him again. Debbie Grewell, ‘sister’ of WILLIE GRUDZINSKI
