Joe is pursuing this degree as part of his goal to become a CPA. He is enrolled through Growing Together, a program that accelerates degrees in professions that are currently needed in Nebraska.
Joe is currently completing an internship with Cruise & Associates, getting hands-on experience in the accounting field. He is not currently participating in community service or extracurricular activities but would like to when he has completed college.
Joe’s Wayne State College instructor and academic advisor, Kelly Legler, CPA, describes Joe as a “driven, articulate, and determined student.” Wymore Fire Chief Mark Meints says Joe is “not only academically capable but also deeply compassionate and empathetic” and that “his peers admire him for his kindness, work ethic, and ability to lead with both humility and confidence.”
