Senator Paul Sarbanes Scholarship

Scholarship Recipient

Molly Tolbert

Major: Nursing
Academic Scholarship Years:
Step-Daughter of
Molly Tolbert

Molly has always had a deep love of helping others at home and in her community. She has decided to study nursing which comes as no surprise to those who know her. She plans work in pediatrics and work as a traveling nurse for a few years. When that chapter concludes, Molly plans to return to school and obtain her master’s as a Nurse Practitioner.

Molly did not hesitate to get involved in her college community. She joined Teddi Dance for Love to raise money for families with cancer, as well as becoming involved in Fisher’s Furry which helps animal shelters. She currently is volunteering at local COVID testing sites and is administering vaccinations.

Molly is blessed with humility, self-discipline, compassion and considerable talent but her most remarkable trait is her strong work ethic. Her adjunct clinical instructor states, “Molly is one of the most compassionate students I have worked with. She has a kind heart and dedication to her patients that really stands out. She is well deserving of a National Fallen Firefighters Foundation Scholarship.”

Molly’s previous scholarships were made possible with support from
Motorola Solutions Foundation and Engine Company 5 Foundation.
