Senator Paul Sarbanes Scholarship

Scholarship Recipient

Tyler Rogow

Major: Social Strategy and Management
Academic Scholarship Years:
Son of
Tyler Rogow

Tyler desires to influence social change in a positive way while incorporating his passion of art. His twin sister suffers from Reflex Sympathetic Disorder, placing a high financial burden on his family. He is thankful to be a multi-year recipient of the Sarbanes scholarship, it has lessened that financial burden and receiving the scholarship has helped him to experience personal and academic growth. Something he did not believe he was capable of and without the scholarship, would not have been possible.

Having suffered with anxiety himself when his father died, Tyler mentors a 14-year-old boy who suffers from extreme anxiety by making himself available, going for lunch or attending his sporting events. To give back to the local community during the COVID-19 pandemic, he and several roommates are producing and selling a magazine with the proceeds being donated to the local food bank.

Tyler’s determination and commitment to maintain high standards both personally and academically are evident. Tyler has remained true to himself, his values and his goals. He is a role model to his peers.

Tyler’s previous scholarships were made possible with support from
Motorola Solutions Foundation and ICMA-RC.
