Each year, the Foundation sponsors the official national tribute to all firefighters who died in the line of duty during the previous year. Thousands attend the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Weekend in Emmitsburg, Maryland.

Media Credentialing for the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Weekend

The National Fallen Firefighters Foundation will issue credentials to members of the news media for the purpose of covering the Candlelight Ceremony on May 4, 2024 and the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Service on May 5th ONLY.

Credential requests will be reviewed by the NFFF, and upon approval, news media representatives will receive an email with instructions on picking up their credentials.

Standard media credentials from your outlet should be worn when covering events during 43rd National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Weekend.

All media wishing to access the site will be required to first report to Media Check-in to receive your credentials before proceeding into the site or accessing the media risers.

Light the Night for Fallen Firefighters

The National Fallen Firefighters Foundation invites landmarks, homes, fire service organizations, and businesses across the country will again glow in respect from May 1-5, 2024, to the fallen and their families.
